Poster Design
These are a collection of posters I designed to explore letterforms and typographic composition.
UGLY
Digital | Adobe Illustrator | 11x17" | 2017
A reaction poster to a homework reading assignment that discussed the aesthetics of a poster. What is considered "ugly" for poster design?
I AM THAT HERO
Digital | Illustrator & InDesign | 8.5x11" | 2017
A poster that I made during my down time after my friend complained how little Asian lead actors there were in the Hollywood Industry. I used a photo of him and made him the main character
of his own movie.
CBS Landmark Poster
Digital | Adobe InDesign | 17x11" | 2016
A poster on a famous landmark or design project in the history of Graphic Design. My subject was on the Columbia Broadcasting system (1951) by Lou Dorfsman and William Golden. I was influenced by the columns in periodicals and wanted to keep it simple. This marked my very first typesetting project after learning Adobe InDesign in my sophomore year.
City Letterform Poster
Digital | Adobe InDesign | 24x36" | 2015
Using the letterforms found in downtown Providence, I created a poster exploring the unique typography in the environment. While this poster could be more dynamic, I focused on the wrapping around effect that vintage film strips have. Because this was one of the first posters I made in my Typography 1 class, This is a project I hope to later come back to and rework.
WALBAUM
Digital | Adobe InDesign | 24x36" | 2015
A poster promoting the Walbaum font. I'm really proud of and enjoy the form that the lowercase k forms as it transitions from the black to white background.
IASAS Cultural Convention
Singapore 2015
Mixed Media | Photoshop | 11x17" | 2015
Made for the spring 2015 IASAS Cultural Convention held at my high school, Singapore American School (SAS). The poster celebrates the diversity of art, drama, dance, and tech with the six South East Asian international schools. The original design was made from paper, and then touched up with Photoshop.
